Energy Work

Distance Reiki, from
wherever you are

An hour where nothing is asked of you.

Reiki is a gentle energy practice that supports rest, nervous system regulation, and the body's own capacity to come back into balance. It is offered alongside medical care, never in place of it.

Distance work means you can receive it from your own bed, or whatever corner of the house gets the good afternoon light. All you have to do is lie down.

The calendar is being set up right now, so hours are not self-serve on the site yet. Send me a note with a couple of times that could work for you and we will get you on the books the ordinary way.

The practice

What a distance session actually is

Reiki is usually described as hands-on work, and in person that is what it looks like. You lie down fully clothed, I rest my hands lightly on or just above different areas of the body, and we stay there a while.

A distance session is the same practice without the room. I hold your session at the hour we reserved, and you are wherever you are, doing whatever rest happens to look like for you that day. Working without physical contact is part of Level II Usui Reiki training, which is where a practitioner learns to do it.

Most women want to know whether it can really land if I am not in the room. That is a fair question and I would rather you ask it than sit with it quietly. What I can tell you is what women report back: warmth, a change in breathing, heaviness, tears now and then, and a fair amount of falling asleep. Some feel very little during the hour and notice something later in the day. There is no right way to experience it.

I didn't realize how much I was holding.

The thing women say most often afterward

What to expect

How the day goes

  1. A few days before

The intake form lands in your inbox. Ten minutes, and you are welcome to leave anything blank. It is simply so I can meet you where you are that day.

  2. The hour itself

Set yourself up somewhere you will not be interrupted, and lie down if you can. Phone in another room is a good idea. Falling asleep is common and you have not missed anything if you do.

  3. How it ends

    With a video session

We come back on the call for the last stretch. You tell me what you felt, I tell you what I noticed, and we take our time with it while it is still fresh.

    With a written reflection

The hour closes quietly on your end. I sit with my notes and write you a reflection, and it reaches you within a day or two.

  4. The couple of days after

Drink more water than you think you need. Rest is the usual report. A few women feel stirred up before they settle, and that is ordinary too.

Two ways to do this

Choose the hour that fits

Both hold the same practice for the same length of time. The difference is whether there is a voice at either end of it.

With a video session

Distance Reiki with Video Session

We open on a video call so I can hear how you are arriving. Then you settle in, camera on or off, and I hold the session while you rest. We come back together at the end and talk through what I noticed and what you felt.

  • A short conversation before we begin
  • The full hour held for you at the time we reserved
  • Time at the end to talk it through
  • Session notes in your inbox afterward

With a written reflection

Distance Reiki with Written Reflection

A reserved hour with no call at all. The time is yours to spend however rest happens to look that day. Afterward I write you a reflection of what came up, and you can read it whenever you have the space for it.

  • An hour held for you at the time we reserved
  • Your own quiet, wherever you are
  • A written reflection sent after the session
  • Room to write back if something lands

Choose the video session if you would like a voice at either end of the hour. The written reflection is the one to take when what you want is the hour itself and something to read after.

Being straight with you

Where this work sits

I would rather tell you the honest shape of this than let you find the edges on your own.

  • Reiki sits alongside your medical care.

Your doctor stays your doctor, and the medications and treatments you have been given stay exactly as they are. When something belongs in their hands rather than mine, I will say so and point you toward the person who can help.

  • I work with the body.

Diagnosis, treatment, and prescriptions belong to the people licensed for them. What I offer is support for rest and regulation, and I hold that line carefully.

  • This is cumulative work.

One session gives the nervous system somewhere to set something down. What most women describe builds across several.

  • You stay in charge.

You can pause, change, or end the session at any point, for any reason, and nothing needs to be explained.

  • Belief is optional.

Women have arrived openly skeptical and still felt something shift. Curiosity is enough to start with.

  • What you share stays here.

Anything you tell me and anything that comes up in session is held in confidence.

Common questions

Questions people ask first

Lie down somewhere comfortable and let the time pass. Sleeping through it is fine. Getting up to let the dog out is fine. The hour is held either way.

If you are curious and unsure

That is a perfectly fine place to be. You do not have to understand how it works or commit to a series of anything. Send me whatever question is sitting on top, even if it is the skeptical one. I would rather answer it than have you wondering.
